DMD-CART

DESIGN AND FUNCTION

DMD-Cart combines an appealing design with high functionality. A good design increases the pleasure of working. Good functionality facilitates the application and safety of data collection. DMD-System® is the first device to integrate functional analysis into the daily workflow of the dental clinic.

DMD-Cart works as an eye-catcher at the entrance of the Clinic. The blue LED strip lets the patient become attentive and thereby actively securing the function of the device.

All components of the DMD-System^® are securely installed on the DMD-Cart. The system provides storage for the marker tools as well as the pointing tool and is always immediately ready for use. The functionalities of the DMD-Cart are TÜV tested.

The DMD-Tablet is supplied with power in its storage area. The DMD-Software can be launched after login. The sloped design facilitates easy initiation and termination of the movement recordings. Convenient operation ensures streamlined and secure workflow during recording. This is just as important for the patient as it is for the practitioner and his or her team.

Screening temporomandibular functions

The DMD-Software gives a quick answer as to whether the patient is healthy or already affected by early CMD signs.

Measuring functional joint space

The evaluation of the functional joint space of the patient without radiation exposure provides a further building block in the patient treatment history.

Therapeutic position determination

The DMD-Software gives user an option to load the patient’s jaw models into the evaluation software via. stl data. Thus, transmitting therapeutic positions directly to the dental technology.

Direct Transfer to CAD

With our partner exocad, out data packages are transferred directly into CAD. Further work e.g. for Splint therapy using the therapeutic position can lead to an improved result.

Splint therapy

Until now in dental practice it was only possible to adjust the splint position in the analog range on the articulated models. From now on, the trajectories can be used to reposition the condyles and transfer the positions directly to production in the dental laboratory.

Interference-free dentures through functional design

Future of digital prosthetics requires the patient’s original trajectories for incorporating the function into the digital workflow. Only with these original movements, such as the functional close-up movements of the first 1 mm to 1.5 mm on the occlusal surface or the chewing motions allow the interference-free restoration of the chewing function in digital prosthetics. The DMD-System® with DMD-Software provides this data via exocad in the required accuracy for processing in the CAD.

Documentation

Documentation takes up more and more space in the dental work. Here the DMD-Software supports this obligation for proof by depositing all specified positions and transferred data in pdf format. Thus, if necessary, based on the positions and their associated images it is very easy to demonstrate the comprehensive patient treatment.

DESIGN AND ANALYSIS OF CHEWING CONTACT SURFACE

Exploiting analogue knowledge usable for the digital world. The data obtained by DMD-System®, for example, functional close movements and chewing movements can be transferred to exocad Software via direct interface. It is therefore possible to analyze the designed chewing surfaces directly in CAD. The contact points can be set exactly, clearance spaces can be planned and the length of the bumps can be checked for shear forces.
